Basecamp Level 3

Basecamp Level 3 advances participants' knot skills from Level 1 to 2 while introducing basic hiking and navigation skills. Building on their knot-tying foundation, participants learn principals, techniques and Navigation fundamentals before embarking on a group expedition to practice their skills in a orienteering and off track course. During the day, they will also learn some compass navigation and map reading skills whilst fostering camaraderie and mutual support. Instructors provide guidance, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. Basecamp Level 3 equips participants with advanced skills and a deeper appreciation for safety and outdoor adventure, empowering them for future pursuits.

Timetable:

• 9:00am - Arrival & Check-in

• 9:15am - Level 1 & 2 Knot Review

• 9:30am - Knot Skills

• 10:30am - Break

• 11:00am - Basic Compass Navigation Training

• 12:00pm - Lunch Break

• 1:00pm - Orienteering and hiking field trip

• 3:00pm - Pick Up Time

Pre-requisite:

• Participants in Level 3 must have completed Level 1 & 2 prior.
